American Century Investments has launched a US growth equity fund for the firm’s CIO, David Hollond (pictured) reported Citywire Global this week. Michael Orndorff will also be portfolio manager to the fund entitled American Century US All Cap Growth Fund, a Lux-domiciled vehicle. The Kansas-based investment firm has enjoyed a long heritage since it was established in 1958. As the fund name suggests, the strategy will look to invest in growing all-cap US companies with share price momentum: it will be modeled on the firm’s existing US-based mutual fund was has over USD900million in AUM. Commenting on the new launch, Orndorff said it would appeal to investors looking for the opportunity to invest in innovative US equity across the market capitalisation. “A lot of other more traditional managers are focused on absolute growth, but we believe that it’s more important to find accelerated levels of growth,” said Orndorff.
