A requirement for all UCITS registered for sale in Switzerland to include information specific to Switzerland in the Key Investor Information Document (KIID) has been issued by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), reported Lexology this week. The financial regulator has suggested that the following paragraph should be included in the “Practical Information” section of the KIID for Swiss investors:

"The Prospectus, the Key Investor Information Document, the Articles of the Company as well as the annual and semi-annual reports can be obtained free of charge from the representative in Switzerland, [insert name and full business address of Swiss representative]. The paying agent of the Company in Switzerland is [insert name and full business address of Swiss paying agent]".

The Central Bank has confirmed that in any instances where this paragraph is the only difference between the KIID circulated in the EU and that circulated in Switzerland it won’t be necessary to file the Swiss KIID with them.
