Sciens appoints Tim Wilkinson as President of Sciens Fund of Funds Management Holdings

Sciens Fund of Funds Management Holdings, part of the Sciens Capital Management Group and provider of single- and multi-strategy funds of hedge funds and managed account services, has appointed Tim Wilkinson as President of Sciens Fund of Funds Management Holdings.
In this capacity Wilkinson will report into Sciens Fund of Funds CEO, Stavros Siokos and will be active across the range of Sciens’ products and services; encompassing private equity and real assets alongside the firm’s liquid asset capabilities (absolute return strategies and managed account platform services). Wilkinson will have particular responsibility for the firm’s global business development and distribution, incorporating all client-facing, marketing and brand development activities.
Siokos says: “Tim is an extremely valuable addition to our team and brings with him a great deal of insight and understanding into the needs and challenges faced by institutional investors today. His extensive global experience in delivering pension fund solutions and in particular his expertise in providing transition risk management services to a wide range of investors through periods of volatility and change is something we believe will be of great interest to our clients in the current investment environment.”
Prior to joining Sciens, Wilkinson was Managing Director at Russell Investments with responsibility for business development and distribution across EMEA. Previously, he spent 15 years with Citigroup Global Markets, commencing in 1994 as Director and Asia-Pacific Head of International Equities & Derivatives, based in Sydney Australia. In 1997 Mr Wilkinson established Citi Transition Management Asia-Pacific, and proceeded to leverage the ensuing success of that franchise to launch Citi Global Transition Management; as part of which he relocated back to London in 2004 as Global Head of Transition Management. His remit was expanded in 2008 to encompass responsibility for all equity related risk management solutions for insurance and pensions groups.
Wilkinson commenced his career in 1985 at S.G. Warburg Securities which included a posting in Australia in 1989 as Australasian Head of International Equities & Derivatives.
Educated at Worksop College and Cambridge University, he graduated with a Law degree in 1985.
