Related Topics

Maples Fund Services has expanded its US operations with the hire of Megan Corcoran as director of business development, Americas.

Based in New York, Corcoran will focus on expanding opportunities for continued growth of the fund services business in North America and South America.

Corcoran will work closely with Scott Somerville, chief executive of MaplesFS, and Toni Pinkerton, global head of fund services, to sell fund administration, middle-office and risk services to the alternative investment market. With an increase in assets under administration of more than 30 percent over the past year, the addition to the business development team is primarily in response to expanding market share in North America.

“Megan’s experience providing customised solutions to clients opens opportunities for us to continue to expand into new market segments in the US,” Pinkerton says. “With the continued enhancement of our product and technology offering, our business has grown considerably over the past year.”

Corcoran was previously director of sales and marketing at GlobeOp Financial Services, where she was responsible for selling middle and back office solutions, fund administration and risk services to alternative investment firms and institutional investors in North America. Prior to that, she was director of business development at Fulcrum, where she sold hedge fund administration globally, and prior to that, she worked at Channel Capital Group marketing HedgeFund.net and PrivateEquityCentral.net.
