Abacus Group launches FlexDrive

Related Topics

Abacus Group has launched FlexDrive, a file-hosting service that allows hedge funds and private equity firms to securely share and transfer files with other users and other devices.

FlexDrive provides on-demand cloud storage and sharing as well as instant file synchronisation, giving users access to their files no matter what computer or device they are using.

Hedge fund and private equity fund managers can now easily exchange and collaborate on files via desktop computer, mobile device or tablet. The FlexDrive server is located in the Abacus Group private cloud, where users get all of the inherent benefits of SAS70 and SSAE16 certification as well as Abacus’ intrusion detection. Data stored with FlexDrive is also synced across multiple machines and the internet, allowing users to work with Excel files that have Bloomberg Data Point (BDP) links coming in from Bloomberg.

FlexDrive enables users to:

• Invite others to join sub-folders within their FlexDrive folder
• Upload additions and edits to files without having to email files to each person
• Access all files from a computer, smartphone or the web
• Access past revisions of a document and upload changes

“For many funds, keeping track of documents and data files across different computers, smartphones and various users can be really challenging,” says Art Murphy, director of client development, Abacus Group. “With Abacus FlexDrive, your business partners in other states and countries can share files and collaborate on projects with assurance that they are all working from the right documents within a highly secure and reliable environment.”
