Misys appoints Frank Brienzi as president and chief sales officer
Misys has appointed Frank Brienzi as its new president and chief sales officer.
Brienzi (pictured) is responsible for the entire Go-to-Market organisation at Misys, including sales, pre-sales, account management, and marketing. He has been tasked with extending the sales footprint of the company and building further on the 31 per cent software revenue growth achieved last year.
Nadeem Syed, chief executive of Misys, says: “Frank brings more than 25 years of financial services experience and knowledge to his role at Misys. Frank’s addition to our executive team enables us to continue to grow our business, further enhancing our leadership position across all of our market segments. With the rapid transformation of last year into a successful high-growth business, having introduced more than 25 new product releases since June 2012 and over 60 new customers added to the business, Misys is now a much more customer-centric and innovative company. We are delighted to welcome Frank to the Management Leadership Team at such an exciting time for us.”
Brienzi joins Misys from Oracle where he was senior vice president and general manager of Oracle Financial Services. He was a member of the board of directors of Oracle Financial Services Software and oversaw the operations of the company. He began his career with EDS, as part of the financial services strategic business unit, responsible for large-scale banking and insurance development, sales, and account management. He was also a managing partner at Accenture, helping to grow its global financial services business and leading its application outsourcing practice in North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
