Fitch Ratings has released an industry report on alternative asset managers – US Alternative Asset Managers: An Industry Update.
The publication follows the completion of a peer review of six rated alternative asset managers and their related entities, where all ratings were affirmed at existing levels.
The industry report covers a variety of trends and topics impacting the alternative space including the strong exit environment, fundraising trends, the focus on retail distribution, the growing popularity of secondary funds, and new CLO risk retention requirements.
The report also includes a comparative analysis of the six largest publicly traded firms in the industry; covering trends in investment capital, cash flow earnings, incentive revenue, leverage, and liquidity.
