Buchan has been named to 50 Women in Hedge Funds, published by The Hedge Fund Journal and Ernst & Young, in 2013, 2010 and 2009.

Buchan began her career at JP Morgan Investment Management in the capital markets group. She has also been an assistant professor of finance at the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Mimi Drake, chair, 100WHF global board of directors and president, Permit Capital Advisors, says: “Jane Buchan is a highly respected member of the alternatives industry, and one who we at 100WHF hold in the highest regard as a Charter Angel – a significant contributor to the organisation in its earliest years. This Award recognises both her leadership as CEO of PAAMCO and her broader efforts to champion professional educational opportunities for women in the industry through her Board role at the CAIA Association and PAAMCO’s sponsorship of the 100WHF Scholarship Program. We are pleased to be able to recognise all of her accomplishments through this Award.”
