Half of buy-side firms struggling with client reporting technology, says white paper

Over 50 per cent of firms are struggling with the technology challenges required to deliver competitive, quality reports, according to a white paper released by VistaOne Solutions, a division of CoreOne Technologies.

In January and February 2014, Wall Street & Technology, a division of UBM Tech, surveyed 108 buy-side decision makers from its financial services network database. The study looked at how buy-side firms are progressing in their efforts to keep up with the constantly evolving transparency requirements. 
“Current technology platforms are not keeping pace with fund manager initiatives to grow AUM, expand distribution channels and tailor client services,” says Todd Rudley, VistaOne Solutions’ North American head of sales. “The data from the survey reveals the extent of the problem, the impact, and where firms are investing to move forward.
“The challenge is compounded by the growing complexity of multi-strategy platforms as well as the demands around transparency and governance.  Next generation providers like VistaOne close the gap between data management and reporting.”
