Aequitas Capital Partners launches the ACP Alts Academy

Aequitas Capital Partners has partnered with Circle Squared Alternative Investments to provide training and education to Registered Investment Advisers via the ACP Alts Academy.

The academy will will provide the advisor community with educational seminars focusing on alternative investments, strategies, and solutions to meet the demands of high-net-worth investors.

The inaugural ACP Alts Academy webinar for ACP members, powered by the CSQ Institute, with be held on 13 January, 2015, and will be hosted by Jeff Sica, CIO and founder of Circle Squared Alternative Investments. Key topics include Circle Squared's 2015 outlook for alternative investments. In addition, Sica will provide his thoughts on how the modern portfolio theory is no "longer modern," and discuss asset allocation issues and the Endowment Model.

Alternative investments, a long time staple of institutional investors such as pensions, endowments, and foundations, are becoming increasingly popular among retail investors, especially those with wealth created through private investments such as private equity in their own businesses.

Circle Squared recently launched the CSQ Institute to provide what they believe is the best-in-class education and training to financial advisors on the broad spectrum of alternative investments.  The goal is help advisors better understand various types of alternative investments and teach them how to perform diligence on them. The Institute will also offer recommendations for the integration of alternative investments into client portfolios.

The ACP Alts Academy seeks to equip advisors with the necessary knowledge to position alternatives in a portfolio, as well as provide them with access to Circle Squared's network of industry leaders, which include some of the most recognised names in alternative investing. Initiatives of the ACP Alts Academy will include: webinars, video messaging, roundtable panel discussions, podcasts, articles and face-to-face training, et al.
