Mirabaud hires institutional credit team

Mirabaud Asset Management has recruited André Broijl, Bert Hospers, Sai Kit Lam and George Luijkx from Syntrus Achmea Asset Management to join its fixed income team, led by Andrew Lake, in London.

This move follows a number of high-profile hires over the past 36 months within the asset management division of Mirabaud, as the firm develops its range of capabilities to meet the needs of its wide range of clients. This new credit team has been operating for almost a decade, they have successfully managed over EUR 4 billion of institutional mandates for Dutch pension funds, building one of the most reputable track records in the global investment grade credit universe.

“Our strengths come from the complementary skill sets within the team which have been refined over many years together with our individual sectorial experience,” says Broijl.

The team will report to Andrew Lake and will be in charge of various mandates and fund solutions for Mirabaud’s clients in the investment grade credit arena.

André Broijl, MSc, CFA

Before joining Mirabaud, Broijl spent almost 10 years at Syntrus Achmea where he managed various credit portfolios. Broijl started his career at Robeco and subsequently at ING Investment Management in the credit team.

Bert Hospers, MSc, CFA

Before joining Mirabaud, Hospers joined Syntrus Achmea in 2001 where he also managed various fixed income portfolios with a particular focus on credit since 2006.

Sai Kit Lam, MSc

Lam joined Syntrus Achmea in 2006 and has been a dedicated credit portfolio manager since 2012, starting his career at Fortis Investments in 1998.

George Luijkx, MSc, RBA (Dutch equivalent of CFA)

Luijkx has 15 years experience in the investment industry. He spent almost four years as a credit portfolio manager at Syntrus Achmea. Before joining Syntrus Achmea, Luijkx was an Investment Analyst at Robeco where he started his career.
