Whilst based in Jersey, Simon will continue to remain actively involved with the BVI office and will continue to advise North American funds clients in relation to BVI law.  Simon’s move is in response to increasing client demand for BVI services in the European time zone and his relocation will further strengthen the European funds team.  Simon’s practice covers cross border and multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, equity capital markets including listings of special purpose acquisition companies, joint ventures and investment funds.

The five additional promotions to Managing Associates positions are Robert Christie and Christopher Newton from BVI; James Heinicke from Cayman; Sally Peedom from Guernsey and Laurent Thailly from Luxembourg.
