Armstrong Investment Managers appoints Cenk Aydin

Armstrong Investment Managers (AIM) has appointed Cenk Aydin as Managing Director for MENA to expand AIM’s international network into Turkey and the Middle East. 

Cenk, who is British-Turkish joins AIM from JP Morgan where he was Head of Corporate Segment for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He previously worked as Chief Operating Officer for the Global Transaction Services Business of Bank of America EMEA. Over the course of his career he has undersigned major deals totalling up to USD100bn.

Cenk currently serves on President's Advisory Group of the EastWest Institute, a New York based think-tank and is Vice Chairman of the International Cooperation Platform under the Patronage of the Turkish Presidency. In 2010 he was named one of the 100 global leaders under the age 40 in the world by the World Economic Forum in Davos. Aydın holds an MBA in Corporate Finance and Marketing and a BA in Economics and studied Public Policy and Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Commenting on the appointment, AIM Chief Executive Dr. Ana Cukic Armstrong says: “Cenk’s extensive and impressive experience in banking and finance makes him a perfect fit for AIM. He is a natural entrepreneur and we look forward to expanding our reach into Turkey, which we consider to be a thriving and important market.”

Cenk Aydin’s appointment is part of a refocusing and restructuring of Armstrong Investment Managers. After two months of operating its new model, the new AIM successfully attracted over GBP500m of funds.
