Global Hunter Securities, a division of Seaport Global Securities has appointed Paul Chambers as Institutional Salesman in the firm’s New York office.
Chambers has over 20 years of experience on both the sell side and buy side, primarily focused on energy. He received numerous accolades over the years as an energy portfolio manager.

Chambers was most recently an energy portfolio manager at Nomura Securities where he managed a global long/short energy equity portfolio. Prior to that, he was an energy portfolio manager at TPH Asset Management from 2010 to 2012, global sector head of energy & utility equities at Citadel Asset Management from 2008 to 2010 and an energy portfolio manager at UBS O’Connor during 1999 to 2008. He was recognised for his strong industry knowledge as a recipient of the Energy “Top Gun Mind” award by Brendan Wood International in 2011, led the top European Energy Hedge Fund Team recognised by Extel Survey in 2009 and was voted the top Energy Hedge Fund Manager in the US by Alpha Magazine in 2008.
Prior to the buy side, he was head of global oil service equity research at Lehman Brothers and covered oilfield services at Howard Weil and Kidder, Peabody & Co.
Chambers received a BS degree in Finance at the University of Houston.
