RCM Alternatives promotes Paul Rieger to MD and Partner

Related Topics

RCM Alternatives, a brokerage firm that provides investors and wealth advisors with education and services for investing in managed futures has promoted Paul Rieger to managing director and partner.

In this role, Rieger will consult family offices and wealth advisors on their asset allocation strategies. His mandate is part of the company’s broader mission to be the world’s premier provider of education and services in the managed futures space.

Rieger, a Chicago native, has more than 16 years of futures industry experience with a focus on commodity trading and execution with leading firms. Before joining RCM, Rieger spent 13 years with MF Global in roles of increasing responsibility, entering the firm as a trading clerk and eventually working his way up to heading his own execution desk. He then joined RCM in 2012 and has been instrumental in growing the firm’s client base and building out their execution offerings.

“Paul’s trading expertise, ambition and personal drive have all been huge contributors to RCM’s growth over the past three years,” said Bobby Schwartz, CEO & Managing Partner of RCM Alternatives. “As an owner, Paul will continue to be an integral part of the firm as we grow the number of investors who depend on RCM to help them meet their investment objectives.”

“I feel very fortunate to be a part of such a great team and think it’s a very exciting time to be in the managed futures space,” Rieger says. “More investors are recognising the value of commodity-based investments as a way to diversify their portfolios and hedge market exposure.”

This announcement comes just one month after RCM and Attain Capital Management announced they were merging to create one of the world’s largest introducing brokers in the managed futures space. The growth of RCM underscores the growing demand for managed futures, an alternative investment that can work as a hedge against market volatility and provide diversification through low-correlation to traditional asset classes such as stocks and bonds.
