Concept Capital Markets adds trading and client support personnel

Concept Capital Markets has hired Robert Jones, David Circle and Eric Gross, all seasoned brokerage professionals who bring their own skill sets to the firm and will complement the firm’s existing team.

Jones joins Concept Capital as Vice President – Trading, and serves the firm’s prime brokerage clients with their trade execution needs. Robert comes to the firm with many years of trading experience, having worked in senior positions for two New York based hedge funds during 2009-2012, and prior to that for nearly ten years at Bear Stearns Asset Management. Robert has traded equities and derivatives, and also possesses an understanding of and appreciation for the need to tailor communication and execution styles to each portfolio manager client. Additionally, Robert brings a compliance background to his position, having served as a financial investigator for a state securities regulator. Robert is located in our New York City office. 

Circle joins Concept Capital as Vice President – Trading, and serves the firm’s outsourced trading clients. David comes to the firm with twenty-five years of experience in the investment business, including as a trader across multiple asset classes. Circle enjoyed a twelve year career with Bear Stearns beginning in 1990, where he traded convertible securities for the proprietary arbitrage book, similar securities as a sell side trader serving institutional clients, and then a merger arbitrage book for that firm. He subsequently ran a wealth advisory practice at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley for a few years before returning to institutional sales and trading with a focus on arbitrage across a variety of disciplines, including mergers, capital structure, and event driven at several firms, including Louis Capital, IA Englander and Royal Bank of Canada. Most recently Circle worked at Maxim Group. David is located in our Greenwich office. 

Gross joins Concept Capital as Vice President – Operations and Client Support, and will work with our operations and client service team in addressing our clients’ needs. Eric comes to the firm from JPMorgan, where he has worked since 2008, and since 1981 including his time with Bear Stearns prior to its acquisition. Eric brings more than twenty years of prime brokerage experience, including his expertise in middle and back office solutions, operations support to hedge fund clients with varied investment and trading strategies, and client service. Gross is located in our New York City office.
