Proskauer has appointed Bruno Bertrand-Delfau (pictured) as a partner in the firm’s private investment fund’s practice based in London.

Bertrand-Delfau has extensive experience in private equity secondary transactions, notably advising Ardian (formerly AXA Private Equity). He has worked on many landmark transactions in the industry – both in Europe and the US – and advises institutional investors on their primary investments in private equity funds and other related transactions.

Nigel van Zyl, head of the European Private Investment Funds Group, says: “We are thrilled to have Bruno join our team. His experience strengthens our position in the private equity industry as we continue to expand our presence in Europe.”

Proskauer Chairman Joseph Leccese says: “Bruno’s wealth of knowledge will enable us to capitalize further on the active secondary market and complement our services to private equity clients on both the funds and transaction sides.”

The firm's Private Investment Funds Group comprises more than 100 lawyers, including practitioners in employee benefits, executive compensation, corporate finance, governance and securities regulation, in the firm's offices in the US, UK, France and Asia. Since 2012, the group has advised sponsors in closing more than 340 funds with over USD80 billion in committed capital; institutional investors on more than 1,100 investments, representing over USD40 billion; and on more than 280 secondary transactions. The group was recently named Investment Funds Team of the Year at the 2015 Chambers USA Awards for Excellence.
