Wedgewood Partners, a large cap growth equity asset manager, has appointed William “Bill” Thomas as Chief Compliance and Chief Administrative Officer.

Wedgewood manages approximately USD11 billion in client assets in Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), Unified Managed Accounts (UMAs), and the USD2.4 billion (assets) RiverPark/Wedgewood Fund (RWGFX – Retail; RWGIX – Institutional) for which Wedgewood acts as the sub-advisor. Launched in September 2010, the RiverPark/Wedgewood Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in the equity securities of approximately 18 -22 companies with market capitalisations in excess of USD5 billion and whom Wedgewood believes has a sustainable competitive advantage. Wedgewood’s Chief Investment Officer, David Rolfe, serves as the portfolio manager.

“Wedgewood has experienced substantial growth in recent years, and will benefit from the added depth Bill brings to our management team,” says Tony Guerrerio (pictured), Wedgewood’s founder and CEO. “He has broad experience across a number of roles as an executive in the asset management industry. We are extremely pleased to have him join us.”

Prior to joining Wedgewood, Thomas served as managing partner for ActiveETF Partners LLC. Before that, he was chief executive officer of Grail Advisors, LLC and, earlier in his career, head of distribution at Charles Schwab Investment Management.

Thomas is a graduate of Lake Forest College and former Chairman of the Mutual Fund Education Alliance.
