The Brasidas Capital Management team of Jon Withaar and Steve Deitch have joined multi-strategy hedge fund manager Deimos Asset Management as Managing Directors and Portfolio Managers.
At Deimos, Withaar and Deitch will continue to build and manage portfolios based on global equity event driven investments, primarily focused on Asia. They will manage a portion of the Deimos multi-strategy assets and also plan to launch a co-branded fund based on the Brasidas strategy.
Before founding Brasidas, Withaar and Deitch were Portfolio Managers for over four years at Millennium Management LLC. Prior to Millennium, Withaar was Head of Principal Trading in Australia for Citi, and Deitch held analyst and Portfolio Manager positions at Balyasny Asset Management in New York.
Withaar and Deitch are the fourth portfolio management team to join Deimos since July, following the addition of Paul Orwicz in July, James Warner in September, and Charles Slotnik in October. Deimos continues to focus on its business strategy of developing a multi-strategy hedge fund and a variety of individual hedge fund strategies.
