Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft has appointed attorneys Andrew Alin, Dorothy D Mehta, Joseph V Moreno, Bonnie A Neuman and Amy W Ray to the Firm's partnership, effective 1 January, 2016.

Alin has a broad-based M&A and general corporate practice. He represents financial institutions and other strategic parties, as well as private equity sponsors and hedge funds, in public company mergers, asset sales, subsidiary carve-outs, corporate governance matters, recapitalisations and other complex transactions. He also advises investment banks providing fairness opinions in mergers and acquisitions transactions. Andy received his JD, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a BA, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mehta focuses her practice on alternative investment matters. She has extensive experience representing investment advisers to hedge funds, private equity funds and managed accounts, commodity pool operators and commodity trading advisors. Dorothy was named a "Key Individual" in Fund Formation: Alternative/Hedge Funds by Legal 500, and a "Rising Star" in Securities and Corporate Finance by Super Lawyers Magazine. She received her JD. from Fordham University School of Law and an AB from Cornell University.
Moreno, a former federal prosecutor, has extensive trial and appellate experience handling complex investigations and litigation involving the US Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the US Department of Defense, and other domestic and international law enforcement and military agencies. Joseph received his JD, cum laude, from St John's University School of Law, an MBA, with honours, from St. John's University, and a BA, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Neuman’s practice is concentrated in the area of real estate finance, representing clients in domestic and as cross-border transactions, including the origination of mortgage and mezzanine loans, syndication, loan servicing, non-performing loan securitisations, loan restructuring and bankruptcy-related matters. Her clients include global investment banks, national and international financial institutions, investors and servicers. She received her JD from Fordham University School of Law, cum laude, and a BS, magna cum laude, from Boston University.
Ray represents clients in high-profile US and international antitrust matters. She focuses on transactions, litigation, arbitration and investigations with a competition nexus. Global Competition Review featured her as one of its "40 Under 40 – Class of 2016" antitrust lawyers in its global survey. In addition, Amy has been named a "Rising Star" in Washington, DC, by Super Lawyers Magazine (2013-2015). She received her JD from Harvard Law School, where she was an Equal Justice Fellow, and a BA, with Highest Distinction, from the University of Virginia.
