Maples Fiduciary, a division of MaplesFS and provider of fiduciary, entity formation and management, insurance and administration services, has opened an office in London.

The London office will allow the Maples group to address market demand and capitalise on opportunities in the financial centres while strengthening its relationship with clients globally.

"With most of the top financial institutions to whom the Maples group provides services having a substantial presence in the region, the opening of a Maples Fiduciary office in London is a natural fit and enables us to further assist existing and prospective clients," says Peter Huber, MaplesFS' global head of fiduciary. "Given the specialist nature of structured finance and investment fund services, establishing the London office further bolsters our efforts and makes us well positioned to continue meeting the complex and multi-jurisdictional needs of our clients."

Maples Fiduciary in London will focus on providing corporate and fiduciary services to UK companies, limited liability partnerships and structured finance vehicles as well as providing UK facilities agent services to Irish and Luxembourg UCITS and providing process agent services.

In addition, Maples Fiduciary’s full suite of corporate and fiduciary services will be offered, supporting the provision of an efficient, streamlined service for clients who may already be working with the Maples group in other jurisdictions.

Leading the team is senior vice president Sam Ellis, who will be supported by the addition of strategic hires in London.

Tina Jehan joined the team earlier this year as vice president and brings over two decades of corporate and fiduciary services experience with a focus on the investment funds industry.

Charles Leahy joins Maples Fiduciary as vice president. He is a highly experienced senior transaction manager with more than a decade of experience and expertise in UK securitisations and structured finance.
Additionally, Michael Drew will join Maples Fiduciary as vice president. He brings extensive experience and professional knowledge of the administration of securitisations and structured finance transactions.

"Maples Fiduciary’s physical presence in London builds on the Maples group’s established reputation in the region and further supports the delivery of a client focussed and service driven solution to this dynamic market," says Scott Somerville, MaplesFS' chief executive officer. "We are thrilled to mark yet another milestone in our impressive evolution as one of the preeminent providers of specialised corporate and fiduciary services."
