Conquest Capital Group, a commodity trading adviser (CTA) and systematic alternative asset management firm, has appointed Timothy Boardman as director of business development and client relations.

Boardman (pictured) will be leading global distribution and client service across the firm's systematic tactical trading strategies.

In particular, he will lead marketing efforts for Conquest STAR, the firm’s most recent all-weather vehicle containing a six-year track record.

“Timothy’s knowledge encompassing systematic investment products and his capabilities in growing and expanding institutional relationships will be invaluable in further supporting Conquest’s institutional trajectory,” says Marc Malek, managing partner and portfolio manager. “We look forward to his contributions promoting our differentiated product offerings, and are confident that he will fast become a key component to the success of the business.”

Boardman joins the firm with nearly a decade of experience focused on institutional business development and cultivating and maintaining LP relationships. He previously worked for Boston-based asset manager PhaseCapital, where he held the role of director of business development – North America.

Prior to PhaseCapital, Boardman was a vice president on the alternative distribution team at Stonehaven, a New York-based institutional capital raising platform.

Boardman has also held client service positions at MatlinPatterson Asset Management, Goldman Sachs and Guggenheim Securities.

“I am excited to join the Conquest platform and partner with an established management team with a strong track record, specialised approach and intellectual capital,” says Boardman. “I believe there is a significant opportunity to build upon Conquest’s reputable brand and leading systematic edge to expand its institutional market presence both domestically and abroad.”
