Lyxor and Sandler launch US Long/Short Equity Fund

Related Topics

Lyxor Asset Management has teamed up with Sandler Capital Management to launch the Lyxor/Sandler US Equity Fund, a US-focused long/short equity strategy, allowing investors to gain exposure to US equities amid an improving outlook for the US economy, while mitigating the impact of volatile market conditions on their portfolio.

The fund focuses on investing across a broad range of US industries and adopts a dynamic long/short approach to identify growing businesses (long positions) and challenged businesses (short positions), ensuring an active management of the US equity market exposure. Risks are managed through diversification, close attention to macro factors and the continual evaluation of each position.

Established in 1980 and headquartered in New York, Sandler Capital Management is an alternative asset management firm managing both hedge funds and private equity funds.

Andrew Sandler (pictured) is the lead portfolio manager, supported by an assistant portfolio manager, eight analysts, and a separate two-person credit team. For over 30 years, Sandler has developed a true single-name shorting expertise, which continues to be uncommon in the UCITS universe.

The fund, which is now registered for sale in nine countries, is available on Lyxor’s Alternative UCITS Platform for a minimum subscription amount of USD10,000 in EUR, USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, SEK, NOK. Not all share classes are available or registered for sale in all jurisdictions. Sandler becomes the 10th fund on Lyxor’s fast-growing USD2.6 billion Alternative UCITS platform.
