Brevan Howard, the Jersey-headquartered global macro hedge fund firm, has continued its recent hiring spree with the appointment of Subhek Garg, a former managing director at Goldman Sachs, as its new chief technology officer based in the firm’s New York office.

As part of the Global Technology Team, Garg will have responsibility for the US region reporting to the Global CTO, Kevin Gage.

The firm has also bolstered its business development team in Singapore with the appointment of Yishi Lian, the former head of investor relations at Singapore-based macro hedge fund Southern Ridges Capital.

Garg spent 16 years in total at Goldman, according to his LinkedIn profile, having joined the firm in January 2007 as an application developer focused on equity derivatives, before working his way up to managing director (wealth engineering) which made him the global head of engineering for PWM capital markets, managed strategies, equity structuring, alternative investments, and digital assets.

Earlier this month, Brevan Howard appointed Owen Coughlan, the former head of euro swaps trading at NatWest Markets, as a portfolio manager based in London, while in February, the $26 billion firm appointed Murray Coalville, a former vice president at Nomura, to head up its systematic operations.
