Shaun O'Connor has been named chief financial officer for CB Richard Ellis Investors, responsible for the corporate finance, reporting and accounting operations for the global investment management division of the CB Richard Ellis Group.

O'Connor, who has more than 20 years of financial operations experience, joins CBRE Investors from GE Real Estate, where he held various financial planning and analysis positions before becoming chief financial officer for Europe in 2006 and then CFO of the US equity business earlier this year. Previously he held finance positions at AIG and IBM.

'Shaun has two decades of global financial experience and has consistently been a top performer, making him a great fit with our leadership team,' says CB Richard Ellis Investors chief executive Vance Maddocks.

CB Richard Ellis Investors is a real estate investment management firm with some USD43.7bn in assets under management at the end of June. The firm sponsors investment programmes across the risk/return spectrum for investors worldwide, and during 2007 made USD11.7bn of acquisitions in North America, Europe and Asia and completed USD4.8bn in disposals.

The firm is an independently operated affiliate of CB Richard Ellis Group, the world's leading full-service commercial real estate services company, with more than 29,000 employees in more than 300 offices worldwide.
