Independent investment manager Corazon Capital has selected Third Financial Software's integrated investment management platform, Tercero, to assist its plans for future growth.

The Tercero suite, which comprises solutions for portfolio management, client relationship management, client reporting, document management and internet access for investors, will be deployed across Corazon's Guernsey, Jersey and Geneva offices.

It aims to aid Corazon's growth plans through improved operational processes and extended client services.

Corazon says it required a more efficient and comprehensive reporting solution, which its existing custodian-based system could not provide.

Chris Trower, director at Corazon Capital, says: 'In an unforgiving market, it is essential that Corazon continues to deliver the exceptional levels of service that clients have come to expect, which is why we've turned to Third Financial. This technology investment will enable us to attain better quality information and deliver accurate, timely and user friendly reports to our clients. Additionally, clients will also have access to detailed, easy to digest investment information through our new investor portal. We expect our clients to recognise quickly the benefits of this solution.'

Tercero integrates its own portfolio management software with the latest Microsoft technologies, providing a complete wealth management platform.

The Tercero Client Relationship Management solution will build a Know Your Customer profile for all clients at Corazon, which aim to help the firm to retain and win business.

The Tercero Investor Portal will allow Corazon to provide on-demand information to clients through online valuations and electronic access to reports.

Additionally, the model-based Tercero Investment Management System will enable the Corazon investment team to manage individual client portfolios and complex multi-member pension portfolios.

Gary Linieres, director at Third Financial Software, says: 'As the financial market undergoes an unprecedented period of turmoil and change, effective communication with clients becomes increasingly essential. By implementing the Tercero suite, Corazon has demonstrated its commitment to improving levels of trust with clients and positioning itself as an organisation that emerges strongly from the current climate.'

The two-phase implementation is already underway, with the first phase due to complete by the end of the year.
