Independent placement agent C.P. Eaton Partners has announced that Alex Edwards has joined its Shanghai office as a vice president to lead the company's development in Australia, New Zealand and South Asia.

Edwards brings 14 years of international experience in the financial services industry, ten years of which were in Asia Pacific. His experience spans multiple sectors of the industry in strategic leadership positions across cultures and jurisdictions.

'I welcome Alex to the Eaton team to continue our efforts to attract the highest quality investment managers and expand our reach to limited partners worldwide,' says Shanghai-based managing director Ed Greene. 'We look forward to tapping into his expertise as we expand our presence in the Asia-Pacific region, especially in his native Australia.'

Prior to joining C.P. Eaton Partners, Edwards was with Franklin Templeton Investments based in Hong Kong and London.

Prior to this, he was a vice president at Credit Suisse First Boston based in London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney and New York. He began his career with MLC in Sydney.
