Fortis Investments has launched a new share class in Poland called Classic Hedged PLN.

Fortis Investments has launched a new share class in Poland called Classic Hedged PLN. This new share class carries no currency risk and positions Fortis Investments as one of the first asset management companies to offer this type of solution to Polish investors.

The Fortis L Fund Bond Convertible World (Compartment of the Fortis L Fund UCITS III Sicav under the Luxembourg Law) will be the first fund of the range to use this new type of share. The fund, which already has strong return/risk characteristics, is now reinforced by the fact that there is no more correlation with a potentially weaker Euro. In addition, there is no longer any currency exchange fee cost as it is now possible to invest directly in Polish zloty.

Grzegorz Swietlik, Senior Relationship Manager for Fortis Investments in Poland, says: ‘We are truly catering for the needs of Polish investors by launching this Classic Hedged PLN share class. Investing abroad clearly carries a currency risk and a strong zloty was limiting the gains for investors. We wanted to provide a new solution with these currency hedged shares.’
