The Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive
‘A topical, lively, interactive debate forum not to be missed’
Jersey Finance in partnership with the Jersey Funds Association invites you to their
Annual Funds Debate, Tuesday 30th March 2010
The Honourable Artillery Company
City Road, London, EC1Y 2BQ

Charlie McCreevy, until recently, European Commissioner for the Internal Market and Services, responsible for the European Union’s policy on the functioning of the internal market of 480 million people across 27 Member States and co author of the draft EU Directive, will deliver a key note speech explaining the reasoning that led to the Directive and what role the industry has to play in the final outcome.
Brendan McMahon, Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers CI LLP, Jersey will examine some of the proposed enhancements to the original draft directive, which for the most part respond to the concerns of the Global alternative asset management industry, potentially avoiding a ‘Fortress Europe’ and continuing to allow European Institutional investors access to best of breed asset managers located outside Europe.
