Why Gabon ?
Gabon's per capita GDP is among the highest in sub-Saharan Africa. Structural changes from the government's ambitious economic development program are aimed at creating a business-friendly environment necessary to attract foreign direct investments. Gabon wants to develop and diversify its agriculture sector, allowing palm oil to account for a larger proportion of its GDP. With large amount of available arable land that does not involve clearing the forests, and an attractive investment framework, Gabon expects to produce 250 000 t/y of sustainable palm oil by 2020

Following the overwhelming success of Palm Oil AFRICA in Ghana last year, the highly-acclaimed series moves to Gabon this year to cover more regional ground. Supported by the Gabon Ministry of Agriculture, expect a panel of stellar speakers and industry majors sharing issues and challenges relating to palm oil investments in Africa
