Carl is the COO of Capital Support and his focus is on ensuring the consistent, predictable delivery of services through our technical and operational teams to customers. Carl is ITIL qualified and with a background in international logistics, Carl understands how to translate complex systems and processes into solutions that deliver real value to customers.

Carrie Whamond

Executive Director of Sales

Carrie has over 13 years of experience in the delivery of technology services.  Starting her career in technology innovation for the European Commission, Carrie quickly specialised in Information Technology. Moving in 2004 to build sales and marketing for a start-up software firm and exiting upon acquisition, Carrie joined Capital Support in 2009. Over the last seven years Carrie has worked with hundreds of UK-based alternative investment firms to establish and implement technology strategies.

Education

Carrie holds an Honours degree in Business from Dundee Business School, with the Management Award for graduating top of the School. She also holds additional Diplomas in Business Consulting, Technology Innovation, and Business Administration.

Capital Support Marcus Lewis

Marcus Lewis

Director, Technical Sales

Drawing experience from both enterprise and SMB businesses, Marcus has over 20 years of technical leadership, delivery and expertise. Marcus is an accomplished senior manager and analyst, with strong business and commercial acumen. Marcus joined Capital Support in 2012, and has developed and managed a large portfolio of solutions. Drawing on his experience, Marcus works with many of Capital Support’s existing and new clients, guiding their IT strategies and aligning them with business needs.

Education

Marcus is ITIL Foundation and PRINCE2 Foundation certified.

Capital Support Peter Haynes

Peter Haynes

Senior Business Development Manager

Peter started his career in the IT industry as an engineer carrying out desktop support. Within four years he was consulting for Novell in Identity and Access Management, and running their Advanced Technical Training courses. Peter then moved over to Dell as a Technical Account Manager and managed a team of 13 sales people. In 2009 Peter moved to the UK and was a product manager for an IT security reseller, before moving into an IT managed service provider as an Account Manager. Peter left as the highest achieving sales person and moved to Capital Support, where he has further developed his skills within the financial sector.

Education

After leaving school Peter went straight into an IT traineeship, where he learned his technical trade. He completed both a Certificate II, III and a Diploma in Information Technology.

Capital Support David Wallace

David Wallace

Executive Director of Account Management

David has 20 years of experience of high touch Account Management in the Information Technology sector. Prior to joining Capital Support he worked for a specialist technology company, servicing the demanding TV production industry. Following their acquisition in 2006, David joined Capital Support as a Senior Account Manager. In his early days David was instrumental in the rapid growth of Capital Support, and he quickly established himself as part of the senior leadership team. David’s industry knowledge, integrity, and business judgement have helped him and his team serve hundreds of Alternative Investment Managers.

Education

David holds Diplomas in both Sport Science and Computer Science. He also holds a number of industry qualifications from the likes of HP, Microsoft, Citrix and Cisco.
