Established in 1982, Harbour holds an Unrestricted Trust Company License and a Mutual Fund Administrators License and is regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. Alan Milgate is Managing Director of The Harbour Trust Co. Ltd. and a Partner with Rawlinson & Hunter in the Cayman Islands.
He is the service line leader for Harbour with responsibility for advising on the establishment and ongoing administration of Cayman Islands companies and funds, and serves as an independent director for client funds.
Alan joined the Cayman practice in December 1997. Prior to moving to the Cayman Islands, his career included experience with the taxation practice of Deloitte & Touche in Canada, and audit and assurance services in Canada and New Zealand.
Alan is Vice Chairman of the Cayman Islands Chapter of AIMA and a STEP Cayman Committee member.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Trust and Estate Practitioner and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
Greg Bennett is a Director of The Harbour Trust Co. Ltd, and is responsible for providing fiduciary services to Harbour’s fund clients, including serving as an independent director for such funds.
He began his career with Coopers & Lybrand in Edmonton, Canada in 1996 and was promoted to Manager in 1998, where he worked until he joined UBS Fund Services in Cayman in 2000. In 2004 he left UBS as an Associate Director and joined Butterfield Fund Services in Cayman. He became a Director of that firm in 2005 and Managing Director in 2008. In September 2008 Butterfield Fund Services merged with Fulcrum, creating the hedge fund administration firm Butterfield Fulcrum. Post merger Greg held the position of Managing Director and Global Head of Client Development.
Prior to joining Harbour in 2011 he held the position of Managing Director at HedgeServ - a global hedge fund administrator, whose Cayman office he established in 2010.
Greg is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant, and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
Philip Dickie is a Director of The Harbour Trust Co. Ltd. and is responsible for providing fiduciary services to Harbour’s fund clients, including serving as an independent director for such funds.
He began his career at Deloitte in Halifax, Canada in 1994 and was a Manager in the audit group when he left in 1998. He subsequently moved to The Bank of Bermuda Limited in Bermuda, where he gained considerable experience in the valuation and administration of various investment structures, with a focus on offshore investment funds. In 2002 Philip joined the Bermuda office, and later the London office, of Union Bancaire Privee, where he was responsible for performing operational due diligence reviews on fund managers and their service providers for five years. Philip joined the Harbour team in 2007.
Philip is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant, and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
Cassandra Powell is a Director of The Harbour Trust Co. Ltd and is responsible for providing fiduciary services to Harbour’s fund clients, including serving as an independent director for such funds.
Before joining the firm in 2007, Cassandra worked at a locally based professional services firm for over 5 years where she dealt exclusively with fund clients, providing directorship and related fiduciary services. Prior to this, she was employed by the Portfolio of Finance and Economic Development of the Cayman Islands Government for over 4 years.
Cassandra is an Executive Committee member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association (CIDA).
Cassandra holds a Master of Business Administration degree, is a Trust and Estate Practitioner, and is a Notary Public in the Cayman Islands.
