The Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) has listed the first ever Reserved Alternative Investment Fund (RAIF). The new RAIF was brought to market by Finexis and has been listed on the Euro MTF market.  RAIFs are a new type of vehicle that combine the characteristics and structures of specialised investment funds (SIFs) and investment companies in risk capital (SICARs) qualifying as Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs). Most alternative investment management firms are able to turn a profit and expand with considerably less than USD100 million in assets, according to a survey of sub-USD500 million firms by the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) and boutique prime broker GPP. ICE Endex is now a fully owned subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), following ICE’s acquisition of the remaining 20 per cent stake of ICE Endex shares from NV Nederlandse Gasunie.
