The London Metal Exchange (LME) and LME Clear have announced a competitive fee schedule for their precious metals contracts, with nine LME clearing members having already expressed their intention to trade and clear the contracts. Canadian hedge fund manager Arrow Capital Management has completed the merger of the Exemplar US High Yield Fund into the Exemplar Growth and Income Fund. Unitholders approved the merger on 21 February 2017 at a special meeting, while on 27 February the fund also received regulatory approval.   The merger was completed after the close of business on 28 February 2017.

Global Loan Agency Services, the UK parent of the global GLAS companies, has now received US regulatory approval and the newly chartered GLAS Trust Company will be regulated by the State of New Hampshire. PEGAS, the pan-European gas trading platform operated by Powernext, registered a total volume of 163.6 TWh in February 2017, driven by strong volumes especially on the futures segment with 92.6 TWh, and a solid debut for the time spread instruments. Spot trading volumes in February reached 71.1 TWh , which represents an increase of 11 per cent compared to the previous year (63.9 TWh).   The Dutch market area TTF registered another strong volume with 19.3 TWh, a growth of 10 per cent compared to last year (17.6 TWh). A total of 6,151 contracts were traded in agricultural products at the European Energy Exchange (EEX) in February, more than double the 2,911 contracts traded in February 2016. Novus, a portfolio intelligence platform for institutional investors and managers, is teaming up with alternative investment manager Cheyne Capital Management to build a fixed-income analytics platform for both allocators and managers.
