Hedge funds posted gains through mid-July as the HFRX Market Directional Index gained 2.17 per cent and the HFRX Global Hedge Fund Index gained 1.03 per cent through mid-month. The European Energy Exchange (EEX) has been re-appointed as the common auction platform for CO2 emission allowances, following the completion of a joint procurement procedure.
