Last November saw BMO Global Asset Management, part of the Bank of Montreal, open the European arm of its ETF business in London.  Marc Knowles (pictured), director of ETFs, BMO Global Asset Management says: "The Canadian ETF business has been up and running for seven years, gathering USD23 billion of assets across 66 ETFs. Jersey Finance has appointed An Kelles (pictured) as business development director for Greater China, to spearhead its strategy across the Far East. Based in Jersey Finance’s Hong Kong office, Kelles will be responsible for expanding Jersey’s range of activities in the region, identifying opportunities for Jersey financial services businesses, and building relationships between Hong Kong, Greater China and Jersey. BlackRock has launched the UK Strategic Alternative Income Fund, which provides UK defined benefit (DB) pension schemes with access to a range of alternative income sources in one portfolio. The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published the new list of members of its Securities and Markets Stakeholder Group (SMSG) following its approval by its board of supervisors.
