Advent Software has signed 31 new contracts globally since acquiring the research management solution Tamale Software in the fourth quarter of 2008.

Tamale RMS helps portfolio managers and analysts organise and share their research, in order to manage the flow of investment information in a way that makes it available, actionable, and auditable. It gives firms a system of record and visibility into the research that drives their investment decisions.

Kevin Sonnett, co-founder and principal of RK Capital, says: "We were looking for an efficient way to organize all of our company research and meeting notes when we came across Tamale RMS. We were familiar with the benefits of research management solutions and Tamale’s proven reputation as the leader and pioneer in RMS made choosing them a very simple decision. Tamale will serve as a centralized repository where we will have easy access to all of our research, allowing us to maximize efficiency and collaboration across our business."

Advent signed the 31 new agreements with a wide range of leading firms in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific. Clients include hedge funds, funds of funds, asset managers, broker/dealers, investment consultants, pensions, foundations, endowments and sovereign wealth funds.

"We are thrilled to see increasing demand for Tamale RMS across diverse market segments and geographies during a very challenging global economic environment. This highlights that the investment management industry is embracing research management as a best practice," says Mark Rice (pictured), general manager of the Tamale group at Advent. "Tamale RMS is the industry’s best-of-breed research management solution, and we are very pleased to extend its leadership."
