Options, a provider of the Options PIPE Private Financial Cloud services platform for the exchange, banking, trading and investment communities, has named former NYSE Euronext executive Danny Moore as chief operating officer.

Moore (pictured) will be responsible for leading the firm’s day-to-day global operations, in addition to overseeing the expansion of the Options PIPE Private Financial Cloud within both established and emerging financial markets, and across the broker dealer and investment banking communities.

Options’ private cloud services include Velocity, an ultra-low latency market data, execution connectivity and application management service; Momentum, an on-demand application management service for the front-, middle- and back-office; and Core, a turnkey business technology platform.

Moore is a former chief operating officer of the NYSE Euronext trading technology segment, NYSE Technologies. Prior to joining NYSE in 2008, Moore served both as chief operating officer and chief executive officer of trading technology firm Wombat Financial Software. Wombat, under Moore’s stewardship, was acquired by NYSE Euronext in March 2008. Before joining Wombat, Moore worked with Newry-based First Derivatives. In 2010, Moore established Belfast-based investment firm Lough Shore Investments.

Nigel Kneafsey, Options founder and chief executive, says: "We are delighted to be able to bring someone of Danny’s experience and proven track record of success with firms such as NYSE Euronext and Wombat to Options. In what is a time of great change within the global financial services industry, and the technology and platforms that power this industry, Danny’s deep knowledge and market understanding will prove instrumental in ensuring the continued expansion of Options."

"I am delighted to be joining Nigel and the rest of the Options team," says Moore. "Options is a firm with a rich history, dating back to 1993, but interestingly, one that is also exceptionally relevant to the technology and infrastructure demands of the modern financial services industry. Options has built its success on a bedrock of robust technology, complimented by industry leading support and sector-specific expertise, and I look forward to leading its continued growth in Europe, the US and Asia."
