Cognios Capital, a private independent investment management firm, has appointed Francisco J Bido as head of quantitative research and portfolio manager.
Through extensive research and analysis of risk-adjusted strategies, Bido will strengthen Cognios Capital’s proprietary ROTA/ROME valuation approach and investment strategies.

Bido comes to Cognios Capital after more than nine years at American Century Investments, where he served as a senior quantitative researcher building quantitative equity models and risk management tools. Prior to American Century, Bido spent more than five years as a business process consultant at Andersen Consulting where he worked on high-profile clients, such as American Express and Sprint.
