eVestment revamps suite of analytics tools for institutional investing community

Related Topics

eVestment, a provider of institutional investment data and analytics, has launched the first offerings in a revamped suite of solutions designed to analyse and report on both traditional and alternative investment strategies.

This includes marketing, sales, strategy, product and investment professionals within asset management firms and hedge funds, as well as plan sponsors, consultants and other buy-side institutional investors.

This suite of cloud-based solutions will include four distinct tiers:

eVestment Spotlight – for the user who wants easy access to the most critical data in an intuitive package and with a lower cost.  Customizable user dashboards and seamless publishing capabilities combine with quick access to select firm and fund data to easily research and compare funds with well-known benchmarks and custom peer groups.

eVestment Spectrum – for the user who needs richer data and deeper analytics including insights available through optional add-ons for asset flows, search trends, holdings and smarter peer analysis complete with new, customisable dashboard, interactive charting and rapid search capabilities. It will be available on 11 November.

Future offerings, targeted for mid-2014, will include:

eVestment Quantum – for the user who requires Spectrum-level Analytics plus expanded style analysis, simulation and portfolio-level construction and modelling using advanced quantitative techniques. Targeted for early 2014.

eVestment Mobile – on-the-go access to firm and fund profiles as well as predefined reports and industry news.

This launch marks a key milestone in the integration of eVestment’s proprietary Analytics tool with Fundspire and PerTrac, acquired by eVestment in 2012. The suite will make it easy for clients to move from one solution to another or to have multiple solutions in use by different groups in the same firm.  All solutions access the eVestment data cloud of traditional and alternative strategies to ensure continuity across the firm and across the industry.  Data from Morningstar, Hedge Fund Research and BarclayHedge, in addition to leading benchmarks, are also available.

“Just as the global investment markets continue to advance and innovate, so must the technology and content used to support strategic decisions,” says Matt Crisp, founder and chief operating officer of eVestment.  “Working intimately with our clients, we have introduced a more modern user interface to better support dynamic research and easy competitive analysis.  This provides the ability to quickly compare funds to benchmarks or peer groups by dragging and dropping objects into numerous charts and views.  In addition, we have streamlined the underlying architecture to truly integrate what were previously separate solutions leveraging our extensive traditional and alternative global datasets.  With the new architecture, each tier of Analytics builds on the previous tier, allowing our clients complete flexibility in choosing to pair their users with the analytics they need most.”
