SS&C Technologies, a provider of financial services software and software-enabled services, has appointed Bob Schwartz as chief technology officer.
Schwartz will report to Norm Boulanger, the company’s president and chief operating officer.
Schwartz joins SS&C after serving as chief technology officer for SS&C’s fund administration business, SS&C GlobeOp. Prior to SS&C GlobeOp, Schwartz served as chief technology officer at Lehman Brothers. Previously, Schwartz worked for Bankers Trust building its derivatives technology environment.
“SS&C has invested enormous amounts of capital in our information technology infrastructure. EMC, Cisco, Hewlett Packard, NetApps and many other hardware and software suppliers partner with us to provide a world-class computing environment,” says Bill Stone, chairman and chief executive officer, SS&C Technologies. “Bob’s 20 years of experience will be a strong source of support and leadership in data centre infrastructure, security and mobility delivery. We are excited and confident in our future.”
“I am thrilled to work at SS&C at such an exciting and pivotal time,” says Schwartz. “At a time when more and more financial services firms are adopting SaaS platforms and outsourced services, it’s great to be part of a company that demonstrates leadership in both of these areas.”
