Advent Software’s Geneva portfolio management and fund accounting product was named Best Fund Accounting and Reporting System 2014 by the readers of Hedgeweek.

The fifth edition of the Hedgeweek Awards, presented in London on 3 February 2014, brought together the leading names in the global hedge fund industry to celebrate the achievements of the best performing managers and service providers in 2013.

The awards were determined by the votes of Hedgeweek’s 41,000 subscribers, who include institutional investors, wealth managers, fund managers, and other industry professionals at firms including fund administrators, prime brokers, custodians, law firms, custodians, and advisors.

Geneva, Advent’s global investment management and accounting platform for asset managers, hedge funds, fund administrators, prime brokers, and mutual funds, provides a high level of operational efficiency and easy access to real time data. It offers instrument coverage, full financial general ledger, and industry-standard integration tools enabling firms to manage complex investment vehicles, multiple investment strategies, and tiered fund structures. The real time architecture of the Geneva platform helps enable firms to use Investment Book of Records (IBOR) functionality through a real-time transaction and position process.

“Our continued enhancements to the depth and breadth of our solutions for the alternatives market are a demonstration of Advent’s ongoing commitment to the industry. Advent takes our role as a trusted technology partner very seriously and we are committed to delivering mission-critical solutions that address and meet the business needs of our clients,” says Håkan Valberg, president, Advent Software EMEA. “We are proud to receive this award, especially as it was the readers of Hedgeweek making the nominations, which is a great testament to our leading position in this market.”
