Omni Partners appoints chief executive of CBFL

Alternative investment specialist Omni Partners has appointed John Jenkins as chief executive of CBFL, the captive origination platform for the firm’s lending business and the Omni Secured Lending Fund.

Jenkins joins CBFL after eight years as chief executive of GE Capital where he grew the business and unified five core businesses that covered multiple markets and sites.

Prior to GE Capital, he spent 17 years at Lloyds TSB, ending as sales director of the commercial finance business and a key member of its strategic management board.

Steve Clark, founder of Omni, says: “This is a new position and with CBFL continuing to grow, including the further funding provided by our secured lending property fund, having a CEO with John’s experience will be invaluable in leading the company.”

“I am excited about this new opportunity, both on the existing property lending side and also when considering other opportunities that are emerging in the sector, looking to see how we can expand the business into other specialist lending areas that we have seen banks moving away from,” says Jenkins.
