Fund of funds specialist Titan Advisors has appointed Herman Laret, formerly of Credit Suisse, as a senior research analyst for the firm's manager research global macro team.
"Herman is a powerful addition to the firm's research team," says Tom Holliday, Titan chief investment officer. "His depth of experience and industry contacts will further enhance our capacity to source the hedge fund industry's most promising management talent."
With 24 years of experience in financial services, Laret joins Titan from Credit Suisse, where he was a managing director in global cross-asset macro product sales. He previously served as co-head of interest rate sales, and as treasury product manager. Laret had two stints totalling nearly 14 years at Credit Suisse, separated by a three-year period as a partner and senior portfolio manager at MKP Capital trading G10 rates products.
Among his other duties at Credit Suisse, Laret sat on the hedge fund investment committee, responsible for investing the firm's proprietary capital in hedge funds. He also served on the managing directors evaluation committee in 2012-2013.
Laret began his career in 1990 on the mergers and acquisitions desk at Salomon Brothers in London, before transferring to Salomon's New York office to become a government bond trader.
