Marinus Capital Advisors, an asset manager providing comingled and customised credit solutions for institutional investors, has appointed Anthony DiNota as head of business development, a newly created position.
An experienced alternative investments professional and former lawyer, DiNota comes to Marinus from Citigroup, where he was the senior member of the capital introductions team at the bank’s prime brokerage unit in New York.
Prior to Citi, he was part of the capital introductions team at Merrill Lynch’s prime brokerage in New York.
“Tony has a diverse background and skill-set that will complement our growing team,” says Najib Canaan, chief investment officer and managing partner at Marinus, to whom DiNota will report. “He will be an invaluable asset as we continue to grow and diversify our investor base globally.”
DiNota began his hedge fund career in 2004 working as counsel to Global Strategies Investment Management in Atlanta, and then as a senior member of compliance consultant HedgeOp Compliance in New York.
