Barclays Capital has gone live on 4S.Klondike(TM), relationship mining platform for pairs traders developed by San Francisco-based 4th Story, LLC. 4S.Klondike is an institutional-strength tool for traders and portfolio managers to quickly mine pairs opportunities from a large universe of instruments and potential pair combinations. It provides time series analysis of correlation, ratio, regression and other statistics. By custom tuning 4S.Klondike’s ranking and selection systems, traders and portfolio managers can rapidly identify pairs "nuggets" which can then be traded directly or run through a pairs trading model hosted in 4th Story’s foundation product, 4S.Yellowstone(TM), Excel or another application. The product provides full visibility and extensive graphical representation of the calculated statistics to facilitate analysis and works across multiple asset classes and data types.
