Fimat Group, the global brokerage owned by Société Générale Group, has consolidated its
alternative investment offerings under a single brand, Alternative Investment Solutions (AIS).

Fimat AIS is intended to enhance the breadth of services that Fimat provides to hedge fund
market participants by offering more efficient means to facilitate their trading and administrative
strategies worldwide.

Patrice Blanc, Chairman and CEO of Fimat Group, said: “By leveraging the expertise of our
alternative investment services available throughout the Group into a single brand, we remain
true to our role as a centralised provider of a broad range of global brokerage activities,
including execution, clearing, settlement, and custody.”

Blanc said: “By creating a common recognition for the distribution of our alternative investment
offerings, Fimat’s clients will be able to take greater advantage of the market synergies that
exist between the US, Europe, and Asia.”

Fimat AIS combines the products, services and expertise previously offered throughout Fimat
and more specifically by its NY- and UK-based prime brokerage teams, respectively headed by
Stephan Solomon and Marc Cohen (Fimat Financial Services Group) and Philippe Teilhard de
Chardin (Fimat Global Fund Services Group).

Under the new name Fimat will offer hedge fund managers, commodity trading advisors
(CTAs), futures industry managers, and other hedge fund market groups a full suite of
brokerage services, from execution and risk management to clearing and settlement.

Solomon said: "As trading strategies grow increasingly more complex, providing clients with a
wide range of value-added, yet tailored, services remains our number one priority.”

Philippe Teilhard de Chardin noted: “In addition to complementing the foreign exchange focus
and experience in capital introductions of the New York team, the London team will contribute
an extensive background in investment portfolios, a wealth of managers and investors
relationships as well as a large knowledge base in multi assets / multi instruments execution,
clearing, settlement, financing, risk-management and reporting.”

Background Note: The Fimat Group has a global network of 20 offices and is a member of
more than 40 of the world’s largest derivative exchanges and 10 stock exchanges. The Group
provides global clearing and execution services to institutional users of derivatives and
securities markets worldwide. Companies of the Fimat Group cover markets that account for 80
percent of the volume of all major exchanges. They offer clients access to over 500 individual
interest rate, bond, currency and equity products as well as 220 individual commodity contracts,
