Roberto Varandas has joined Capital & Marketing International Limited, the London-based capital markets adviser.
In his new role at Capital & Marketing International,which covers real estate and hedge funds, Varandas will be responsible for Southern Europe.
Particular attention for asset gathering and fund structuring will be paid to Spain, Italy and Portugal. C&M was founded by Christophe de Taurines, Managing Director of C&M who is a private equity real estate veteran with more than 16 years of relevant industry experience.
C&M acts as an outsourced client service provider to sponsors of alternative investment vehicles seeking to establish relationships with investors for private equity real estate funds, funds of hedge funds and single hedge funds in Europe, Middle-East and Canada. The team has collectively raised more than EUR 5.5 billion of equity for alternative investment vehicles in the past seven years.
Varandas brings valuable hedge fund experience to C&M. He previously served at London-based Zan Partners in Product Placements for Southern Europe.
The latest hire for C&M brings total team to 13 and is expanding to meet the increasing demand for its independent alternative investment marketing services.
