Tremont TASS (Europe) Limited has hired Catherine Evans as Associate Director.
Before joining Tremont, Ms Evans was Associate Director at London-based
Alpha Investment Management where she focused on new business
development and marketing fund of funds to institutions.
While at Alpha, she worked with John Hock, who is currently Tremont Advisers, Inc.'s Head of Global Sales. Ms Evans said: "It is gratifying to be back on a marketing team with John, who is a very seasoned professional with deep knowledge of institutional investors as well as alternative investments."
In her new position, Ms Evans reports to Rupert Allan, Managing Director for Tremont TASS. She will focus on marketing Tremont's investment management of hedge fund portfolios to European institutional investors including pension funds, endowments, consultants and financial institutions.
Ms Evans said:"We have tremendous opportunities in the months ahead to educate and attract many institutions to alternative investing. From 1998 to 2001, Ms Evans was a Senior Marketing Manager with Pictet
Asset Management in London where she specialised in new business
development and marketing of various specialist investment products to
European investors. From 1993 to 1998, she was a Vice President at
Lynch, Jones and Ryan in London where she marketed the firm's brokerage
