Yorkville Advisors LLC, a firm engaged in providing financing solutions to growing companies in the small-cap sector worldwide, has appointed Tom Anderson to the newly created position of Director, Investor Relations.
 
Anderson, 43, brings over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and product development within the pension and public fund arena to Cornell Capital, an entity of Yorkville Advisors. He reports to Mark Angelo, Managing Partner at the firm and is responsible for overseeing sales, marketing and investor relations at the firm. 
 
‘The investor base considering alternative investments is clearly expanding, and with Tom on board we are confident that we can tap this universe,’ says Angelo.
 
Anderson was most recently Director of Institutional Client Services at Potomac Asset Management. Prior to that, he was Director of Taft-Hartley sales at Mercantile Safe, Deposit & Trust, a Baltimore based trust bank. During his time at Mercantile Safe, Deposit, he was also Editor of Insight, an investment publication for the Public Fund and Taft-Hartley communities. Additionally, Anderson, who attended the University of Maryland, College Park, was responsible for initiating a policy benefiting local trade unions in the Mid-Atlantic area
 
Anderson’s appointment comes as the firm continues to aggressively build up its infrastructure in anticipation of future growth. Yorkville Advisors recently announced the hiring of Eric Hansen as Senior Legal Counsel bringing the internal legal department to six attorneys. In addition, the firm has 30 internal bankers to source and execute deals.
